When I was travelling in Liberia and would see the huge rubber tree farms, I only thought of tires, but they’re used for pillows, too! Who knew? Apparently, rubber is a vital component of making one of the best pillows on the market.
RejuveNite, a division of Latex International, has created an entire line of pillows “derived from natural materials such as the rubber tree and then crafted through a water-based production method into the sizes and firmness levels that will suit your needs”, according to their website. “It is … a great choice for anyone who suffers from allergies or asthma.”
What interests me most about these pillows, is that they respond to your every move. I have a memory foam pillow that I love, but when I move (which I tend to do a lot) it leaves a hole and takes awhile to reform to my new position. A RejuveNite pillows gives you constant support, comfort, and pressure relief. Because the material is so breathable, it may be cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Sounds great to me! Remember- it’s important to use pillows and bedding that allow our bodies to cool down naturally as we sleep, otherwise we’ll wake up from being too hot. I also love the built-in anti-microbial properties to keep the pillow cleaner, especially important for asthma and allergy sufferers.
Take a look at their full line of pillows or visit some of the nation’s top bedding companies, such as Sealy, Simmons, Serta, Kingsdown and Stearns& Foster, to try them out. On the RejuveNite site they cost from $45 – $105, but check out other retailers for lower prices.
