Call of the Wild

Wild thing

I think I love you

But I wanna know for sure

C’mon on, hold me tight

I love you

Wild Thing by The Troggs

Whether or not you’re brave enough to sing Wild Thing at a karaoke bar, with Earth Day arriving later on this month, and early spring flowers pushing through mud and late season snow, you, like us, may be hearing the call of the wild beckoning you outdoors.

Spring fever aside, and seriously though, scientific studies have shown that natural environments do have remarkable benefits for human health. According to Alan C. Logan N.D., a naturopathic doctor and ecotherapy researcher, exposure to nature promotes positive emotions and heightened physical and mental energy. In his book, Your Brain on Nature, Logan and co-author, physician Eva Selhub outline emerging nature-based therapies designed to improve your mood, cognitive function and mental health.

But what if you’re stuck indoors, in your car or a train and feel the need for a breath of fresh air? How about some nature-inspired music or better yet, music with real honest to goodness nature sounds to help transport you to a greener place or fresher mood until you have the time to go for a real walk on the wild side?

With that in mind, we invite you to listen to our recently updated selection of At Peace nature music.

You’ll find everything from Birdsong By the Stream to Calming Seas and an Ocean Suite. Visit The Appalachian Trail or The Chesapeake Bay. Take Seascape – A Meditational Journey or partake of some Healing Waters. Don’t forget Nature’s Gift or Natural Sounds Gold to help put you in the mood for Earth Day.

And after you listen, leave us a review. Between now and Earth Day (April 22nd), post a review for any music album at the At Peace Massage Music site and we’ll enter you in a drawing for some free At Peace DVDs!

Celebrate the light and sun of longer days and shorter nights since the Equinox on March 20th with some new, nature music in your playlist!

Here’s to spring fever!
